Sometimes, films can be a way to tell a story. Sometimes it’s a medium for meditation. We wanted to capture this piece more like a mesmerising ritual than just a set of cleverly choreographed moves. We wanted it all, the rawness of the surroundings, the ominous repeating music, the flaws, the mood, and everything that comes along with it. Even though, we expose the lights and the set and everything, we wanted people to sort of drown in the movements and forget the edges of the frame, so to speak.
Side note: The split screen shots might be hard to follow. Please feel free to watch it again to follow different parts of the screen.
